CLINICAL TREATMENT SERVICES
Our Clinical Assessment and Treatment services provide local outpatient clinics to patients in Plymouth, South East Cornwall, South Hams and West Devon.

Our cardiology assessment and diagnostic clinics are run by General Practitioners. They take place at the Cumberland Centre and Devonport Health Centre
To access the CFS/ME service your GP will need to refer you. We have a team of clinicians including a Consultant, GP with a Specialist Interest and Specialist Occupational Therapists. Our clinics are currently held at Plymouth Science Park at Derriford and Express Diagnostics at Plymouth Science Park.
This service is provided by General Practitioners with a special interest in Musculoskeletal Medicine, Extended Scope Practitioners in Physiotherapy and a Specialist Musculoskeletal Podiatrist. They provide assessment and treatment clinics at Mount Gould Local Care Centre Outpatient Department and Derriford Hospital Orthopaedic Outpatients.
Clinics are provided for Shoulder, Knee and Foot / Ankle conditions.
The Dermatology service consists of regular outpatient clinics at the Mount Gould Local Care Centre. It is offered by General Practitioners with a special interest in Dermatology and skin conditions.
Practice Nurse Educators and Dieticians provide patient education programmes by webinar and group sessions.
General Practitioners work together to offer outpatient minor surgery clinics at Plymouth Science Park and Devonport Health Centre in Plymouth, Devon.
A GP with a special interest in ENT (Ear, Nose and Throat conditions) runs outpatient assessment and treatment clinics at Mount Gould Local Care Centre and Cumberland Centre in Plymouth, and Liskeard Community Hospital in Cornwall.
Sentinel provides the Vasectomy service for the Plymouth Area from a number of community settings including Plymouth Science Park, Devonport Health Centre and Tavistock Hospital.
We are using the latest techniques to ensure the procedures are carried out to the highest standards and ensure that you receive the support and aftercare you require.

DEVELOPING LOCAL GENERAL PRACTICE
We know that General Practice is at the heart of the community. Sentinel is proud to work alongside and support the Devon Training Hub. They provide education and learning to all Healthcare workers within Primary care including GP’s, Practice Managers, Line Managers, Nurses, HCA’s and administration staff.
Devon Training Hub (DCEPN) supports the transformation of the primary care workforce through quality training and education, aiming to improve the health and wellbeing for the population of Devon. The Training Hub works collaboratively across organisational boundaries with other training organisations and providers, developing sustainable models of training with which to equip the future workforce. The Training Hub s able to respond to the needs of the workforce, current and future enabling them to deliver exceptional patient care. All training and education is evaluated to ensure excellent quality assurance, and relevant to the needs of the workforce.

FORMULARY & REFERRAL
The South and West Devon Formulary is a well-established collaboration of local groups and organisations in Devon and Cornwall. It promotes safe, effective and economic prescribing in primary and secondary care. The Formulary provides local health professionals with up-to-date guidance on locally recommended drug choices.
