DR. JAMES BOORER

Dr Boorer qualified from Bristol University in 2003 and initially embarked on a surgical career spending time in some major London hospitals and teaching at Oxford University.  He moved to the South West in 2007 for higher surgical training.  Soon after, he met his wife who was a GP trainee and she convinced him to change his career direction – something he has never regretted. He believes that he should listen to his patients and understand their concerns, and worries and then work with them on a shared diagnosis and management plan.

DR. CRAIG BARKER

Dr Barker qualified from University of Aberdeen in 1997, and also holds a BSc (Hons) in Physiology from the University of Glasgow.

He’s an experienced GP, clinical lead for Devon Doctors, and became a Member of the Royal College of General Practitioners in 2001.

He has a specialist interest in skin lesion Dermatology, and obtained a Postgraduate Diploma in Clinical Dermatology in 2016.

MIKE PAYN

Senior Administrator Mike Payn has previously worked as a Business Manager for over 10 years before joining Sentinel and the dermatology service. He is your first point of contact on the phone to answer your queries, confirm your appointment and advise you on the process on the day of your appointment. He will also meet and greet you when you arrive and also liaise with your GP to let them know the details of your treatment with us.

THE BARNSTAPLE TEAM

DR. WILL CARLINO

Dr Carlino trained at the University of Sheffield Medical School and qualified in 2008. He undertook core surgical training and started specialist trauma and orthopaedic training in Bristol before having a family and subsequently retraining as a GP in Devon. He has also undertaken a year of general surgical and vascular training in New Zealand. He works as a GP Partner and maintains a special interest in surgery.
