Dr James Boorer
Dr Boorer qualified from Bristol University in 2003 and initially embarked on a surgical career spending time in some major London hospitals and teaching at Oxford University. He moved to the South West in 2007 for higher surgical training. Soon after, he met his wife who was a GP trainee and she convinced him to change his career direction – something he has never regretted. He believes that he should listen to his patients and understand their concerns, and worries and then work with them on a shared diagnosis and management plan.
Dr Gibrani Eykyn
Dr Gibrani Eykyn (BSc, MBChB, MRCS, DOHNS, MRCGP, FRSPH) has been qualified and working in the NHS for 20 yrs.
He completed his surgical training in London and gained his Membership to the Royal College of Surgeons through professional exams.
Following this, he undertook specialty training in Otolaryngology and Head and Neck Surgery. He continues practising as a general physician in Torbay.
Dr Will Carlino
Dr Carlino trained at the University of Sheffield Medical School and qualified in 2008. He undertook core surgical training and started specialist trauma and orthopaedic training in Bristol before having a family and subsequently retraining as a GP in Devon. He has also undertaken a year of general surgical and vascular training in New Zealand. He works as a GP Partner and maintains a special interest in surgery.
Paul is a Specialist Paramedic who has worked both for the NHS and in the private sector for over 20 years. He has been involved in providing healthcare in many settings worldwide, including expedition medical support for the likes of the BBC, and National Geographic, and providing clinical services in the oil and gas industry. He has a keen interest in medical education having delivered training to the United Nations in Iraq and the EUMM in Georgia. During his career he has developed an interest in skin conditions and skin lesions. He undertook his surgical training through the Royal College of General Practitioners and he continues to work in general practice where he carries out the minor surgery within his organisation.
Private Patient Care Coordinator Mike Payn has previously worked as a Business Manager for over 10 years before joining Sentinel and the dermatology service.
He is your first point of contact on the phone to answer your queries, confirm your appointment and advise you on the process on the day of your appointment.
He will also meet and greet you when you arrive and also liaise with your GP to let them know the details of your treatment with us.
